BROOKE GOLDSTEIN was born in Manhattan and raised in Rockland County, New York. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Elon University. This fall, she will begin a Master of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy at Sarah Lawrence College. Brooke has spent summers training at New York State Summer School of the Arts, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, the Joffrey Ballet School, Steps on Broadway, and Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. After completing Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s CREATE program, she performed internationally at the Florence Dance Festival and in Elon’s Fall, Spring, and Black History Dance Concerts, dancing works by Lee Edwards, Jiwon Ha, Janice Rosario, Robin Gee, Renay Aumiller, and Ming Lung-Yang. Brooke is also passionate about choreography and has choreographed for Elon University’s main stage Fall Dance Concert, the class of 2026 senior thesis performance, and composition concerts. She has also interned with Dance Project in North Carolina and Mark DeGarmo Dance Company in New York City. Brooke is committed to advocacy, inclusion, and the advancement of dance as a discipline. During her undergraduate career, Brooke created a research-driven initiative called Support for Every Body, which promotes body-neutral language and inclusive costuming practices. Drawing on her experience across performance, choreography, and scholarship, Brooke’s work centers on arts administration, dance as a form of healing, and community-centered arts programming, grounded in the belief that dance can be both a rigorous discipline and an inclusive, accessible practice.
