Coupé Class Requirements 2015-2016

Ballet
“B” level classes must register for both classes
Prep 3 – must take both
Prep 4 – must take Monday and Saturday (may take Thursday as 3rd class
Prep 5 – must take Monday and Saturday (may take Thursday as 3rd class)
Prep 6 – must take 3 out of 4 classes
Company – suggested 2 classes a week
Ensemble 2 – suggested 2 classes a week; must take 2 classes and pointe to register for Variations
Ensemble – must take 3 out of 4 classes; must take 4 classes and 1 pointe to register for Variations
Men’s Inter – minimum 2 classes Monday and Thursday 3rd class Ensemble Saturday
Boys Ballet – 2nd Grade and up
Advanced partnering – open to Inter Men taking 2 ballet; open to Ensemble Girls taking 3 ballet and 1 pointe
Inter Partnering – open to Prep 6 taking 3 classes and 1 pointe
Junior Partnering – open to Prep 4 (16 weeks) 1st semester; open to Prep 3 (16 weeks) 2nd  semester; open to Young Men with 2 ballet classes
Pointe – all pointe students must be registered for 2 ballet classes

Stretch
3rd-5th grade Saturday 10:00 a.m.
6th-8th grade Friday 7:00 p.m.
9th-12th grade Saturday 10:45 a.m

Jazz
“B” level – student must take a ballet class
Jazz Ensemble – student must take a ballet class
Contemporary Jazz “New” – must be 8th grade or up and have at least 2 years ballet experience AND completed Jazz 7B or higher. Others by recommendation

Acro
Students must be enrolled in at least 1 dance class to take Acro
3rd-5th grade Saturday 3:00 p.m.
6th-8th grade Saturday 2:00 p.m.
9th-12th grade Saturday 4:00 p.m.

Tap
Tap 1 – new 3rd and 4th
Tap 5/6N new 5th and 6th grade

Creative and Modern
Cr 1/2 – new 1st and 2nd grade
Cr 3/4N – new 3rd and 4th grade

Hip Hop
HH Jr 1 – New 3rd and 4th grade
HH Jr 2 – New 5th and 6th grade
HH 6A – 6th grade graduates of HH Jr 2 (2014-2015) or by recommendation
HH 1A – 7th grade graduates of HH Jr 2 (2014-2015) or by recommendation
HH Boys 1st – 2nd grade and up

Theatre Dance
Th Dnc 1 – 7th grade and up and have at least 2 years ballet
Th Dnc 2 – Graduates of Th Dnc 1 or by recommendation
Th Dnc Ensemble – By recommendation

New York Jazz (Julie Garofalo)
Ensemble A – 1 ballet class
Ensemble B – no ballet required
Company – 1 ballet class required

Contemporary Jazz (Michelle Barber)
NEW – 8th Grade and up with at least 2 years ballet experience, graduated Jazz 7B or above or by invitation
Ensemble – 1 ballet required
Jr Ensemble -1 ballet required
