The Studio recommends Pointe classes only for students who meet the necessary physical and technical criteria around 11 years of age and who participate in a minimum of two ballet classes per week. Prior to beginning Pointe training, students are evaluated by their ballet teachers and recommended to demi pointe classes when appropriate. Demi pointe classes consist of various exercises to carefully develop the students’ strength and placement using repetition and careful observation in order to facilitate an easy transition onto Pointe.
